Boston Design Guide – what should we know? What sets you apart from the competition? Boston Design Guide is New England’s first and foremost publication dedicated to the home, featuring the “best of the best” in the home industry. We are different from other regional home publications in that we only showcase elite companies and resources within BDG’s annual print edition, online companion, social media channels and marketing initiatives. At the time, there were only national magazines dedicated to the home; it would be eight years before another regional home publication surfaced, and ten prior to the arrival of the two other major players.

Prior to joining DGLA in 2023, Lulu gained experience from landscape architecture firms specializing in residential design in both Vermont and Ohio. Lulu holds a Landscape Architecture degree from State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. While in school, Lulu experienced design work through internships with firms in Syracuse, New York. Winfield grew up in a suburb of Boston where he developed a love for exploring the nearby coastal and woodland landscapes throughout Massachusetts and New England.

At DGLA Lulu is a landscape designer who specializes in the development of construction documents and details, hand graphics, schematic design, and rendering 3-D models. Lulu enjoys every aspect of the design process and feels fortunate to have landed in a field that perfectly combines both artistic expression and practical engineering. Prior to joining DGLA in 2010, Peter worked for several years as a construction foreman and project manager for one of Cape Cod’s premier residential landscape contractors. Lauderdale-based landscape architecture firm, Peter contributed to resort and planned community projects throughout the world.
